DCDC Boost Converter for Single Alcaline or NiMh battery
In low power portable devices powered by single alkaline or Ni-MH cell there is often the need to boost the battery output to a higher more suitable voltage. The CTBO3011 Silicon IP has been designed by Canova Tech as an effective solution in this scenario. CTBO3011 is high efficiency DCDC boost converter designed to work with supply voltage as low as 0.9V. The boost converter is optimized for current load up to 10mA and 2.7V output voltage. Regulation is performed according the Pulse Frequency Modulation (pfm) technique which is suited for light load efficiency improvement.
